How To Manage Categories In Multi-Vendor Marketplace?

Multi-Vendor Marketplace is the latest edition from VevoCart, designing for merchants who’re looking for a way to gain benefits from online business without stocking and selling products themselves. You can have your own online marketplace to allow unlimited vendors with plenty of product to sell their things in your place 24/7 as well as earn commissions from each of them after sale.

Merchant is able to take full control over the admin panel, in fact, you’re the only one who can create product categories and all which vendors aren’t allowed to.

Here you can start your online marketplace by setting categories in admin panel. First, log in to admin panel and choose “Catalog” >>> “Categories”

When you see “Category List”, click “Add” to add your root category.

Fill in all detail for your category, for example, name, description, image, meta keyword and then choose “Add Category” to complete the step.

Your root category will be displayed in “Category List” enabling you to add sub categories in the next step.

Repeat the same steps as adding root category. Start from “Category List “ , click “Add”, then name a sub category as well as fill in detail and choose a root category for a sub category you’re creating.

For example, you add the sub category as “Watch” then you select the “Parent Category” as “Watch & Jewelry”, the sub category “Watch” will be under the root category “Watch & jewelry.”

You can continue adding other categories as you like.

All categories will be displayed in your storefront.

When a registered vendor accesses his panel, he can add products into categories you define.

At storefront, when customer chooses vendor’s product from product category, a vendor company’s name will display under product name, allowing customers to click and see more information about this vendor.

All in all, Multi-Vendor Marketplace can provide advantages to both merchant and vendor, merchant can get income just by opening their marketplace with no products, vendor can promote their store through merchant’s marketplace to draw attention from customers to visit their online store.
